About Us

The Magical Vagabond is the home of enchanted artworks by Zan Asha.

Fueled by the childhood stories of her European mother's forest and fairy-tale stories, she continued this storytelling with a Film and Theater degree from NYU, and spent a decade creating and directing her own ethnic dance and theater troupe in New York City (ChoveXaniNYC).

Next, she turned her attention to her traveling and folk art roots, spending five years traveling across the country for her Beyond Vagabond project.

During this time, she continued her childhood love of drawing and painting and, of course, her style and subject matter encompasses the world of folk and forest tales.

She works her magic in wood, cloth and clay. Expect to find charming and enchanted magic in her art clocks, dolls, and ceramics. Her goal is to create unique, high-quality items that are fairy tale AND functional.

As a bonus, her Li'l European Mama is a skilled fiber technician and creates beautiful, enchanted knitted gloves, shawls, and more out of wool.

Together, they form the magical world that is The Magical Vagabond.
